Mysterious servant of Allah

When the time of death of Hazrat Pir Syed Mehr Ali Shah (may Allah have mercy on him) was near, he got up and sat down and recited a verse of the Holy Quran, the translation of which was: The angels descend upon them, and say: Fear not, nor grieve, and hear the glad tidings of the Paradise which was promised to you, and we are with you in this world and in the Hereafter, and for you. Do all your desires and ask for it. When you were reciting these verses, your face was enlightened by the blessed Nawa-e-Lahi. Then you got up and started mentioning your name. Your soul flew from the khaki body.

حضرت پیر سید مہر علی شاہ رحمته الله کا جب وصال کا وقت قریب آیا تو آپ اٹھ کر بیٹھ گئے اور قرآن مجید کی ایک آیات پڑھی جس کا ترجمہ" بے شک جن لوگوں نے کہا کہ اللہ ہمارا پروردگار ہے اور پھر اس بات پر ثابت قدم رہے ان پر ملائکہ نازل ہوتے ہیں اور کہتے ہیں کہ خوف مت کرو اور غم مت کرو اور بشارت سنو اس جنت کی جس کا تم سے وعدہ کیا گیا تھا. ہم دنیا میں بھی تمہارے ساتھ ہیں اور آخرت میں بھی اور تمہارے لیے وہ سب کچھ ہے جس کی تمام خوہشات کرو اور مانگو. جب یہ ابات پڑھ رہے تھے تو آپ کا چہرہ مبارک نوا لہی سے منور تھا. اس کے بعد اپ لیٹ گئے اور اسم زات کا زکر کرنا شروع کر دیا اور اس وقت آپ کی روح جسد خاکی سے پرواز کر گئی.
